Hi all. As you can see, I am persisting with making Masculine cards because it is normally a real challenge for me. I was a little underwhelmed by the Campology stamp set when I first saw it, but to my surprise, I found that I really enjoyed thinking outside the box to create these cards. I am just in awe of the Artistry Blooms DSP and cannot stop myself from using it. This piece is so reminiscent of outdoor scenery that it suited Campology so well.
Card one,
The base card is Granny Apple Green cardstock and layer one is Artistry Blooms DSP. I have stamped the trees and tent from Campology directly onto the DSP using the Shaded Spruce Classic Stampin' Pad.
I then stamped the tent, in Shaded Spruce, on a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and fussy cut it out, removing all details (guy lines and grass) other than the tent. I glued the tent over the image stamped onto the DSP, carefully lining it up so that the guy lines and grass were restored.
The moon was stamped onto a scrap of Sahara Sand cardstock, using the Versamark embossing pad. I then tipped white embossing powder over it and heat set it. I fussy cut the image and mounted it on the DSP with glue.
I used the Stampin' Chalk Marker in white to create a few star-like details and used Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to give them a twinkle (unfortunately hard to photograph).
The sentiment from the same stamp set was stamped on Sahara Sand cardstock in Shaded Spruce and hand cut out. The edges of the sentiment were tapped on the stamp pad to outline it in Shaded Spruce.
Whilst making the previous card I thought about how I could get the tent to appear to be glowing, but decided instead to use the 'glow' idea for the Lantern.
The base of the card is Daffodil Delight cardstock. Layer one is Basic Gray cardstock. Layer two is Mango Melody cardstock and the image is stamped on Whisper White cardstock using Basic Gray Classic Stampin' Pad.
The glow was created by using Daubers to sponge the colour onto the cardstock. I stamped a second image of the lantern on a 'stick it' note and fussy cut it out. I then layered it on top of the image on the cardstock to "mask" the lantern as I sponged over it. Two "stick it notes" also protected the shadow area to separate it from the light.
The colours used were; (Click the name to find out more)
