Timeless Tulips

Surely Spring is just around the corner?  Today I thought I might try to lure some Spring weather to Melbourne with these Timeless Tulips.

I used a variety of techniques to get two different looking cards with the Timeless Tulip stamp set and the Tulip Builder Punch. 

The first Birthday Card is based on Real Red Cardstock and I have cut a Whisper White Oval with the largest Oval from the Stitched Shape Dies. I stamped stems and leaves in Old Olive on the oval and used a dauber to brush Crumb Cake in its edges. 

I used the Old World Paper embossing folder to give texture to a layer of Real Red. Before I glued it to the Real Read base I inserted a piece of ribbon from the Flowers for every Season in Whisper White. I then used the Real Red Stampin' Pad to stamp out two tulips on Whisper White. These were punched out using the build a Tulip Punch.  I stamped a tulip, stem and leaf on a Whisper White layer and glued it to the inside of the card. I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut an Old layer for the sentiment and the cut a smaller Whisper White Layer to hold the Sentiment. These were fixed to the front of the card with Stampin Dimensionals as were the two tulip shapes. To finish I added three small droplets from the Flowers for every season embellishments.

    

Card two is a little different and can be used as a 'Sympathy Card'. The card base is Old Olive. Layer one is a piece of the Forever Greenery DSP and layer 3 is a piece of Whisper White. I stamped two Tulips a little distance apart in Magenta Madness, leaving space in between them. I then added stems and two leaves in Old Olive. The third Tulip was stamped on a small piece of Whisper White using the Flirty Flamingo Stampin' pad. The tulip was then punched out using the Build a Tulip punch and adhered between the others using Stampin' Dimensional. a third leaf was stamped in Old Olive and punched out also. A piece of Whisper White ribbon was tied around the Whisper White Layer before it was glued to the DSP which was in turn, glued to the cardstock base.  

The interior sentiment is stamped on Whisper White and embellished with a stamped tulip and leaf.
