Cherish the Season Bundle

What an odd year this has been. For many of us, social contact has been extremely limited. Thank goodness for the crafting community who have discovered new and wonderful ways of keeping in touch and working together. It has been a wonderful melding of digital knowledge and creative know how.  I love being able to share what I create with the online community, however I am looking forward to sharing in-person classes and social sessions when we are able to do so safely. 

I have started thinking about Christmas Cards and gifts already, because we do need time to gather our supplies in order to create for the Christmas season.

Floral Essence

 Today was one of those "all-weather days" that Melbourne is famous for, warm and sunny one moment then cold and whistling winds the next, then overcast and rain, then lo and behold, sunny again. I found the best place to be was the Studio where I could watch the changing sky as I created. The garden is benefitting from the sun and rain and inspired these cards using the Floral Essences stamp set. I used the same images from the set for both cards, however, they can look so very different with different treatments. The blue card is simple stamping while the gold card is embossed with gold powder.

Tasteful Touches Stamp Set

Today's card creations are made with the Tasteful Touches Stamp set. I love them because they have a real "artsy" look about them, with stamps which can be used to create backgrounds and layering on cards. The colours you choose to use can change the look of a card quite dramatically from striking and colourful...

....to soft and pretty. The addition of Vellum to this card softens the the background DSP without hiding it and it holds the Classic Stampin' Pad Inks beautifully. I especially love to use the Watercolor pencils when I create. The colours can be as intense or as soft as you wish, can be blended with a brush or left dry and always leaves the glorious detail of the stamp on show.

Playful Pets Suite

Just recently a dear friend had to say goodbye to her 16 year old dog and if you are an animal lover like me, you know how hard that can be. While I know that nothing can take away that sense of loss, sometimes a word or two from a friend can help the healing. I was grateful to be able to use the Playful Pets Suite to make just the right card for her.

I made another to show you just how versatile this suite is. 

The Suite can also be used for cards on much happier occasions and would also make a great Scrap booking page as the DSP is 12 x 12 inches...perfect for pet pages.

Also, it's not just about dogs..the family kitty cat gets it's own selection of lovely designs too
