In Melbourne, Spring has just arrived and the garden is starting to show signs of life again. One of the things that I really enjoy is to pick a few fresh flowers from my garden and bring them into the house to create little bright spots. The Camellias are beginning to show off and when I snipped one for the vase, it made me think of the Prized Peony Suite of stamps, and gorgeous DSP.
Card one; Thank You.
To create this card, I started with a Basic Gray base card with the second layer of Peony Garden DSP.
The top layer is Whisper White cardstock that has been sponged around the edges with the Blushing Bride Classic Stampin' pad and a dauber. The vase (from the Boho Indigo stamp set) is stamped using the Misty Moonlight Classic Stampin' pad and embossed with clear Stampin' Emboss Powder. Two Peony images from the Prized Peony stamp set were stamped directly onto the cardstock and a third was stamped on another piece of Whisper White cardstock and die cut. This image was then adhered to the Whisper White layer with Stampin' Dimensionals. The images were all coloured using Watercolor pencils as they can give a soft, subtle look which is perfect for this card.
Card Two; This card is also based on the Basic Gray cardstock and Peony Garden DSP. I used a different image from the Prised Peony stamp set and also die cut it, then adhered to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. The Whisper White cardstock was embossed with the Dainty Diamonds Embossing Folder. The sentiment was stamped in Versamark on Basic Gray and heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss powder. The sentiment comes from the Boho Indigo stamp set. A Whisper White insert was stamped with an image from the Prized Peony stamp set.
The base Card is Petal Pink with a layer of Peony Garden DSP. An image from Prised Peony stamp set was stamped using Versamark on Basic Gray cardstock and heat embossed with Stampin' Emboss powder in White. This was layered on Whisper White cardstock and then layer on the DSP. The sentiment was stamped on Whisper White and cut using the Story Label Punch. This was layered onto a piece of Basic Gray. The edges of the Basic Gray were rubbed across the Versamark stamp pad and heat embossed in white to give a distressed look. I also used a couple of Elegant Faceted Gems from the suite to highlight the image and give it a bit of bling.
The Whisper White insert is stamped with images from the Prized Peony stamp set.
