Rooted In Nature

Hello to you, so glad you are taking the time to visit.

I had a quick play with the Rooted in Nature Stamp set and Dies last night and I can see lots of possibilities with this set. It works well with the Neutrals collection of colours and I am so happy with how this little card turned out.

I started with a Crumb Cake cardstock base which I stamped with leaves from the Rooted in Nature stamp set, using the Soft Suede Classic Stampin' pad. It made a nice background for the Soft Suede cardstock layer. I tied a piece of garden twine around the layer before I mounted it it to the card base, using Stampin' Dimensionals. 

I then stamped the log from the set on Crumb Cake cardstock and fussy cut it out. I used a dauber to sponge Early Espresso on the edges to give it a little more depth. This was mounted onto the card with Stampin' Dimensionals also.

The leaves were embossed with a die from the Natures Roots, coordinating set and then cut out with a matching die. I used Gold foil for this effect.

The sentiment 'you are wonderful' was stamped in Early Espresso onto Crumb Cake cardstock, torn around and sponged with a dauber and Early Espresso before being glued to the card.

Two gold leaves were added to the Whisper White insert and an envelope stamped with the leaf images to create a coordinated finish.
