Grace's Garden

Here is a new fold for your cards. This is a Gate Fold with a Belly Band. The Belly Band is a really useful technique to use with cards that are a little bulkier or have an unusual fold that may not stay closed flat.

I kept this one as simple as possible to show the use of the band and highlight the very sweet images of Grace's Garden Stamp set. I fussy cut the fence, kitten and bird although there are Dies available for purchase.

The wonderful Artistry Blooms DSP was perfect for this card on a Garden Green Base card. The fence and flower images were stamped with the Garden Green Classic Stampin' Pad. The kitten was stamped in Pumpkin Pie and the bird in Basic Gray. I used the Watercolor Pencils for the softer colours.

The small butterflies were created using the Butterfly Gala Stamp set and stamped onto Vellum then punched out with the Butterfly Duo Punch

I used the Trio of Tags Die with Very Vanilla Cardstock to make the Birthday Wishes Sentiment for the inside of the Card.  I love the fresh Green look of this card.

Very Versailles / Phoenix Kiss Team Challenge

 Hello and thanks for stopping by again.

I have been dying to try out today's Stamp Set, Very Versailles. It is gorgeous and has a vintage feel to it, which really appeals to me. I have, as yet, only made this card but I am looking forward to all the possibilities with it.

 The base card and second layer are Very Vanilla Cardstock and the first layer is Cinnamon Cider Cardstock. I have stamped the image  and smudged the edges of the Very Vanilla layer with the  Cinnamon Cider Classic Stampin' Pad.
 The Stitched Shape Dies were used to create Cinnamon Cider and Very Vanilla Cardstock Circles. The edges of the Very Vanilla layer was lightly smudged with Cinnamon Cider. The leaves were stamped using Soft Sea Foam. I stamped a butterfly onto Vellum using Sea Foam and the Butterfly Punch to create a delicate, translucent Butterfly which unfortunately does not photograph very well. . The Sentiment was stamped onto a hand  Very Vanilla piece of cardstock and again the edges were lightly smudged with Cinnamon Cider.

Dandelion Wishes/ Phoenix Kiss Team Challenge

 My Team Leader Tracy Gilder and I continue to challenge the Team with our Phoenix Kiss Team Challenge Cards.

Today's Challenge uses the Dandelion Wishes Stamp set, In Good Taste DSP and the colours of Basic Gray, Petal Pink and Very Vanilla. Again we came up with very different cards that reflect our personal styles. Tracy has a very Sophisticated look to her cards and you should check them out by clicking on her name above.

Here is my card;

Today I have chosen a Simple Stamping Style, and I love the look of the card.  I began with a Basic Gray Cardstock Base, a layer of Grey from the In Good Taste DSP, and a layer of Petal Pink Cardstock. I stamped several images from the Dandelion Wishes Stamp set in Petal Pink onto a layer of Very Vanilla cardstock. Before I glued this layer to my card, I wrapped some Gray Granite Ribbon across it.

Using the Stitched Shapes Dies oval  and Petal  Pink, Basic Gray, and Very Vanilla Cardstocks, I layered them to create a base for my Sentiment, stamped from the Dandelion Wishes Stamp set.

The card is finished with a Whisper White insert and a matching envelope, both stamped simply from the stamp set.
